It is a rare and lucky person who is not affected by stress. Most people suffer from stress-related illnesses at least once in their life. Being used to living a life full of constant stress may even make people unaware that they are suffering from stress-related health issues. Breathing works wonders for alleviating stress. Take a deep breath, this helps to oxygenate your blood and can help you to relax instantly. If you breath shallow, it causes your heart to beat faster and your muscles start to get tense. Instead, breathe deeply, inhale through your nose, hold a few seconds and then exhale through your nose.

A great way to fight stress is to spend some quality time with your family. If you're feeling stressed out from the pressures of work, there's really nothing better than spending some time with the family to recuperate. Focusing on good times with the ones your love will keep stress at bay.

Breaking big jobs into smaller chunks will reduce your stress in numerous ways! Most importantly this will make the job seem less overwhelming and more approachable; additionally you will be better prepared to actually complete the job in a timely manner. Failure to meet deadlines and fulfill duties is a major cause of stress so if you change your initial approach to a big job and can do it more efficiently you are one step ahead of the next one!
